Schezwan Spring Roll Dosa | Indian Chinese Dosa


Here’s bringing to you an Indian Chinese fusion dish from the streets of Mumbai. Mumbaikars love their street food and this post is dedicated to those innovative street food chefs filling up the streets of Bombay with beautiful aromas. An Indian classic , dosa, is a crepe made from rice flour and black gram and is usually stuffed with a spicy vegetable mix. In this dish we stuff the dosa with spicy schezwan noodles, wrap it up and enjoy it like a spring roll.

Prep time: 10 min Cook time: 20 - 30 min Serves: 2-3


  • 1 medium onion chopped

  • ½ cup capsicum sliced

  • ½ cup carrot sliced

  • ½ cup cabbage sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 tsp vinegar

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp schezwan sauce

  • 2 cups of cooked noodles

  • ½ inch ginger minced

  • 2-3 cups Dosa batter


  • Start by cooking the noodles and set them aside.

  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a wok or pot and add minced garlic and onion. Saute until onions are soft and add ginger. Cook the ginger about 1-2 minutes.

  • Next add vinegar, cabbage, carrot, capsicum and soy sauce. Cook until the veggies are soft.

  • Add schezwan sauce about tbsp and mix it well with the remaining mix. Keep this mix aside.

  • Heat a pan and make dosas. Add the noodle mix on the dosa, wrap it up and serve along with schezwan sauce
