Fusion Corn on the Cob

In search of a new recipe for corn on the cob? This recipe is a fun fusion of different recipes giving the grilled corn a spicy and tangy flavour.

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 corn with husks

  • 1 tbsp harissa paste

  • 1 tbsp sour cream or plain yogurt for healthier option

  • ½ lemon

  • 4-5 tsps chaat masala

  • 4-5 tsps red chili powder

  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Pre-heat oven to 200 C / 400 F. Remove a few of the outer husks of the corn for the kernels to cook well. Cook the corn in the oven for 10 minutes on each side.

    • 4-5 corn with husks

  • Once the corn is cooked grill them on the stove for a few minutes till the kernels turn brown. This step is optional but if you like grilled corn then you should definitely follow this step.

  • In a bowl mix chaat masala, red chili powder and salt.

    • 4-5 tsps chaat masala

    • 4-5 tsps red chili powder

  • When your corn is ready cut your lemon into small cubes, dip the lemon piece into the spice powder mix and rub the lemon over the corn.

  • In a separate bowl mix the harissa paste along with the sour cream or plain yogurt. And spread it on the corn. You can change the proportions depending on how spicy you want it.

    • 1 tbsp harissa paste

    • 1 tbsp sour cream or plain yogurt

  • Serve while the corn is hot.
